It’s been a while since I’ve updated my writing and enough has changed where I figured I could write something up. There are several really exciting new things happening.
Camp NaNoWriMo
Even though I had to lower my limit from 30,000 words to 20,000, I was able to reach this limit. I still count it as a win, though, and it was a much needed moral boost. I combined both words from the actual story and the outline. I’ll be doing it again in July but this time I’m going to try and get 35,000 words. I want to do the full 50,000 in November so this is my way of preparing myself.
Scrivener
I remember trying this writing software many years ago but now that I’m more dedicated to my writing, I decided that I’d give it another go. Since I won Camp NaNoWriMo, I was able to get a discount on the software and I. Am. In. LOVE. There are so many ways for me to break down my writing projects and it’s been really helpful with writing more. I know that there’s still more for to me learn about writing with Scrivener so I’m steadily exploring more areas.
Historial Romance
This is the story that I was working on during Camp. It’s a story that I’m excited to work on with characters I’ve loved for a very long time. There are still a few parts of the story that I haven’t worked through but the major plot points have been down. This is the story I’ll be working on in July.
Urban Fantasy/Paranormal Romance
This is the newest story that I’ve come up with that really surprised me. It’s not a genre I thought I’d ever work on but the plot points has been a fun experience. It’s such a challenge to create a new spin on a genre that has been around for such a long time. I won’t share exactly what my story will be but I’m hoping to work on it in November.
